Harbin Planning Exhibition Hall
The Harbin Planning Exhibition Hall is located in the Daoli District, near Central Street, Saint Sophia Church and the Songhua River. The museum, which opened in 2013, contains three floors of interactive exhibits.
The first floor is dedicated to the history of Harbin, displaying photos from throughout Harbin’s history, and explaining the city’s history of trade and development. The museum has interactive exhibits detailing the development of the city’s unique culture, architecture, transportation and more.
Exhibits about modern Harbin and plans for the city’s future are housed on the second and third floors. There are displays about every district in the city as well as counties throughout Heilongjiang Province, and from the upper floors you can look at a replica of the entire city of Harbin, getting a birds-eye view of all of the city.
Although it lacks English captioning, the Harbin Planning Exhibition Hall is well worth a visit on any trip to Harbin, especially if you are interested in Harbin’s history and development.
